Tips for Job Hunting
This is just a rant about people who go job hunting. Since working in retail, I’ve noticed the following DON’Ts:
- DO NOT go in during peak hours to inquire about job opportunities (i.e. later in the afternoon, the weekend, holidays––whenever it’s busy).
- DO NOT go with other people other than yourself; DO go alone. Leave your boyfriend/girlfriend, mom/dad, cousin, friends, etc. at home.
- DO NOT ask for a job application then ask to use our pen to fill it out.
- DO NOT come dressed inappropriately when inquiring about job opportunities; DO NOT come dressed in a three-piece suit when the workplace is the opposite.
- DO NOT turn in your application to just anyone; DO submit your application to a member of management.
- DO NOT come unprepared. Be ready with your résumé, a pen, and paper, and be ready for a possible interview on the spot.

the plants name is called “makahiya” and hiya in tagalog means “shy”.
whenever you touch the plants leaves, they immediately fold up together looking as if its really shy hence the name.
